Jeffrey Scott Barnes

Mr. Jeffrey Scott Barnes, age 59, of Louisville, Kentucky, returned to his Heavenly Father on Sunday, April 2, 2023. He was a veteran of the United States Army and worked as a fork lift driver for IMI Norgren. Mr. Barnes was born on December 30, 1963 in Louisville, Kentucky. He is preceded in death by his father, Ben Hagen Barnes; maternal grandmother, Mary DeSpain; maternal grandfather, Albert DeSpain; paternal grandmother, Betty Eshan; and paternal grandfather, Stanley Barnes.

Jeffrey was full of life and not scared of anything. He was very generous and kind. He was the kind of man that would do anything to help you, all you had to do was call him. Jeffrey knew everyone and would talk to anybody. He loved his family, his Elvis Presley music, and the Denver Broncos. His family and friends will miss him greatly.

He leaves to cherish his memory his daughter, Michelle Huffman (Jonathan); grandchildren, Emma, Hannah, Aiden, Logan, Chloe; mother, Faye (DeSpain) Jaggers (Bill); brothers, Dan Barnes, Stephen Barnes (Priscilla); sister, Kim Saltsman (Cleo); fur baby, Bo; and a host of friends and family.

Memorial service will be held on Friday, April 7, 2023 at 4:00pm in the chapel of Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Hwy at Brooks Rd). Family and friends may pay their respects from 11:00am until the time of service at 4:00pm.
