John Nix

John S. Nix age 82 of Shepherdsville returned to his Heavenly Father on February 29, 2016 with family by his side. Among those whom preceded him in death are his parents, Jacob and Catherine Nix; son, Hershel Lee Nix; brothers, Norbert, Charles, Jacob, Marcell, William Nix; sisters, Bernice Holstein, Rita Gutermuth, Dorothy Schaub and Baby Catherine; great grandson, Baby Eddie. He was retiree of General Electric and a member of St. Aloysius Catholic Church. He leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife of 60 years Jean Nix; sons, John Nix (Miranda), Chris Nix (Ginger); daughters, Phyllis Jones (Clifford), Donna Baker (Rick); sisters, Margaret Blandford and Sister Catherine Nix; 9 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren and a host of other family and friends. Funeral service will be conducted 7 p.m. on Thursday in the chapel at Schoppenhorst Preston Highway with cremation to follow.
