

Mr. Larry Dean Blansett, age 76, of Fern Creek, Ky returned to his Heavenly Father on Tuesday, September 16, 2025. Larry was born in Louisville, Kentucky on April 2, 1949, to the late Edward Allen Blansett and Catherine (Edwards) Blansett. Larry served his country as a Marine in the Vietnam War. He worked for Swope Auto Dealership for 35 years. He was a devoted, and loving husband, father, Pepaw and brother. Larry had a wonderful since of humor, an avid University of Louisville fan, and Lamar Jackson fan, he enjoyed taking vacations with his family, listening to music and playing the piano. He enjoyed watching movies and spending time with his grandchildren who he adored. He will be truly missed by all who knew and loved him.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and three brothers James E. Blansett, Douglas A. Blansett, Ricky J. Blansett.
He is survived by his loving wife of 39 years Rosie Blansett, daughter Lisa Lynn Crider (Lee), son Mark A. Harris (Yamilla), son Christopher J. Blansett (Emily), 10 grandchildren Tyler, Elijah, Sophia, Brenden, Angelica, Abigail, Arisha, Anna, Myla, River, and sister Judith Sellinger. Along with a host of nieces, nephews, and other dear family and friends.
A Funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 20, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. at Schoppenhorst Underwood & Brooks Funeral Home (4895 N. Preston Hwy, at John Harper Freeway). The visitation will be held on Friday, September 19, 2025, from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and again Saturday morning from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service. Burial to follow at Brookland Cemetery.
