Les Dale Powell

Mr. Les Dale Powell, age 75, of Shepherdsville, returned to his Heavenly Father on Friday, February 18, 2022. Mr. Powell was born in Louisville, KY on November 11, 1946 to the late Dewey Powell and Mildred Powell. He retired from Ford Motor Company after 33 years of dedicated service and he served in the United States Army. He loved to spend time hunting, fishing and skeet shooting.

In addition to his parents, his sister, Joetta Shearer and son-in-law, Sean McClintock preceded him in death.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his beloved wife of 53 years, Brenda J. Powell; children, Sherry Powell- Paschal and Roger Powell (Susan); grandsons, Austin Stanbery and Bailey McClintock; sisters, Donna Foreman and Kathy Foreman (Dennis) and a host of other dear family and friends.

Funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm on Wednesday, February 23, 2022 in the chapel of Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Hwy. at Brooks Rd.) with burial to follow at Brookland Cemetery. Friends and family may pay their respects on Tuesday from 12:00 pm until 8:00 pm and on Wednesday from 10:00 am until the time of service at 2:00 pm at the funeral home.
