Marian Gray Metcalfe

 Mrs. Marian Metcalfe, age 77, of Louisville, returned to her Heavenly Father on Thursday, November 30, 2023.  Marian was born in Louisville, KY on December 21, 1945, to the late James Edwin and Hellice Yeager Hurst.  She retired from PNC Bank where she was a Teller Supervisor and was a member of the Okolona Woman’s Club.  She is preceded in death by her parents; five sisters and one brother.  She leaves behind to cherish her memory her husband, Joe Metcalfe, Jr. of 58 years; sons, Wayne Metcalfe (Mindy) and Chris Metcalfe (Mindy); daughter, Susan Puckett (Jason); two brothers, Dennie Hurst and Jim Hurst (Michele); five grandchildren Allison (Sean), Megan, Alex, Samantha and Ethan; one great grandchild Emmit; and a host of family and friends.

    A funeral service will be conducted at 1 pm on Tuesday, December 5, 2023 at Little Flock Baptist Church 5500 Preston Highway with burial in Evergreen Cemetery Mausoleum. Visitation will be Monday from 12 pm till 8 pm in the chapel of Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Highway at Brooks Road) and at the church from 10 am until time of service.  In lieu of flower donations may be made to Little Flock Baptist Church PO Box 550 Hillview, Ky. 40129.
