Mary Lou Hackett

Mrs. Mary Lou Hackett, age 79, of Shepherdsville, returned to her Heavenly Father on Wednesday, October 16, 2024. Mrs. Hackett was born in Lebanon Junction, KY on September 23, 1945, to the late Russell Streble and Bessie Wells Polston. She retired from L,G&E and was a devoted member of Davidson Memorial Methodist Church where she served in many positions of responsibility. 

In addition to her parents, her beloved husband, William E. Hackett; sister, Norma Fowler and parents-in-law, Everett and Willie Hackett preceded her in death.

She leaves to cherish her memory, her brother, William Streble (Bettie); brother, Raymond Streble (Norma); sister, Wilma Bartley; many nieces and nephews and a host of other dear family and friends.

Funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm on Thursday, October 24, 2024 at Davidson Memorial United Methodist Church (249 S. Buckman St., Shepherdsville, KY) with burial to follow at Hebron Cemetery. Family and friends may pay their respects on Wednesday from 1:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Hwy. at Brooks Rd.) and on Thursday from 11:00 am until the time of her service at 1:00 pm at the church.
