Her husband, Scott Wayne Poynter; son, James Tucker; mother, Linda Sue Slack and brother, David Slack preceded her in death.

She leaves to cherish her memory, her children, Tony Slack (Ashley), Scott Poynter Jr., Greg Poynter, Bradley Poynter Sr., Rodney Freeman Jr. and Brittney Freeman (Erica); grandchildren, Jasmine, Alicia, Bradley Jr., Colton, Bella, Emma, Rylee and Jaxson; father, Wayne Allan Slack Sr.; brother, Wayne Slack Jr. and a host of other dear family and friends.

Funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm on Wednesday, August 13, 2025 in the chapel of Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Hwy. at Brooks Rd.) with burial to follow at Brookland Cemetery. Friends and family may pay their respects on Wednesday from 10:00 am until the time of her service at 2:00 pm at the funeral home.
