Melissa May Smith

Ms. Melissa May Smith, age 56, of Fairdale returned to her Heavenly Father on Monday, August 17, 2020.   Ms. Smith was born May 31, 1964 to Priscilla Elizabeth (Milburn) Smith and the late James McGill Smith. Ms. Smith was a member of The Guilda’s Club of Kentuckiana, Fairdale Lyons Club and Keys Ferry Baptist Church.

Among those that preceded her in death are her father; infant sisters, Patsy and Elizabeth; nephews, Jamie and Andrew; and nieces, Mandi and Tammy.

She leaves to cherish her memory her mother, Priscilla Elizabeth (Milburn) Smith; siblings, Dewayne Beavers (Glenna), William Beavers, Walkie Beavers, Tony Beavers (Cathy), Shelia Caulk (Allen), Bonita Chapman (Jesse) and Lorie Myers (Paul); and a host of nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be held at 12 pm on Saturday, August 22, 2020 in the chapel of Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Hwy. at Brooks Rd.)  with interment to follow in Highview Cemetery (Chaplin, KY).  Friends may pay their respects on Friday from 12 pm until 8 pm and on Saturday from 9 am until the time of service at the funeral home.
