Patricia Ann Monroe

Ms. Patricia Ann Monroe, age 71, of Mt. Washington, returned to her Heavenly Father on Wednesday, December 27, 2017. Ms. Monroe was born on August 15, 1946 in Louisville, KY to the late William Smith and Alice Geneva (Walker) Draughon. She was a member of the Christian Fellowship Center and her great passion was in serving others at The Rainbow Blessing House.

She was preceded in death by her siblings, Gerald Draughon (Bertha), Martha Priddy (Joe), Elvis Draughon, William Draughon (Barbara), Shirley Draughon and Bob Draughon.

She leaves to cherish her memory her daughter, Candy Cornett (Mark); grandchildren, Amanda Tucker (Jason), Caitlyn Cornett (Fred Vance, Jr.), and Mark Cornett, Jr. (Laura Thompson); great grandchildren, Michael and Jude; her caregiver and friend, Jessica Krugman; sisters- in- law, June Draughon and Mary Lou Draughon and a host of other dear family and friends.

Funeral service will be held at two o’ clock on Sunday, December 31, 2017 in the chapel of Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home, Mt. Washington (Hwy. 44 East at 123 Winning Colors Dr.) Family and friends may pay their respects on Saturday from one o’ clock until eight o’ clock and on Sunday from ten o’ clock until the time of service at the funeral home. Burial will be held on Tuesday, January 2, 2018 at Louisville Memorial Gardens West.
