Mr. Richard Lee Compton, age 71, of Hillview, returned to his Heavenly Father on Tuesday, December 1, 2020. Mr. Compton was born in Louisville on March 29, 1949 to the late Guy and Hannah (Baggs) Compton. Among those that preceded him in death are his parents; children, Pam and Hannah Compton; and brothers, Larry and Guy Compton.
He leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Cathy (Garrett) Compton; grandson, Tyler Compton; daughters, Carol and Alicia Janes (Landon), 8 grandchildren; sisters, Sheila Smith (Dickie) and Theresa Allen; sisters-in-law, Gloria Compton and Peggy Garrett; brother-in-law, Tim Garrett (Frances); and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
The family has chosen cremation. Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
