Sarah Lynn Kessinger

Ms. Sarah Lynn Kessinger, age, 56 of Louisville, Ky passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 22, 2024, with her family by her side. She was born in Louisville, Kentucky on April 11, 1968, to the late Royce J. Kessinger and her surviving mother Mae Vonna (Carman) Cornish. Sarah was a devoted and loving mom, and Nana, she spent her life caring for her family and keeping her home running smoothly, she always put others before herself. Sarah worked for the United States Postal Service in 2023 as a route carrier, she loved being a Nana to her 7 grandchildren, she was a jack of all trades, loved old and new rock music, and she was known to be very independent. Sarah will be truly missed by all who knew and loved her.

She was preceded in death by her father, and sister Melanie Stevenson.  

She is survived by her four children Stewart Blackwell (Amber), Dylan Blackwell (Courtney), Tyler Flint (Rebecca), and Abigail Flint, 7 grandchildren Karter Blackwell, Nevaeh Blackwell, Dalton Blackwell, Aubree Blackwell, Adelyn Blackwell, Hayden Blackwell, Trace Flint, Mother Mae Vonna Cornish (Ralph), sister Carman Di Benedetto, along with a host of nieces, nephews, and other dear family and friends.

Her Funeral service will be private. Schoppenhorst Underwood & Brooks Funeral Home (4895 N. Preston Hwy, at John Harper Freeway) will host her visitation on Friday, December 27, 2024, from 1:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. Burial will be at 11:30 a.m. at Bonnieville Memorial Ce
