Wilhelmina "Mena" Elizabeth Burden

Wilhelmina Elizabeth “Mena” Burden, age 73 of Hillview, returned to her Heavenly Father on Monday, October 14, 2024. She was born on February 7, 1951, in Jefferson County, Kentucky to the late Harry and Margaret (Kern) Bouse. Mena attended House of Grace Church. She loved flowers and going to flea markets. She loved helping people and she and her husband were always available to those who needed help, whether it be supplying food to others in their time of need, or helping work on a friend’s roof, Mena was always there. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son-in-law, J.R. Kruk and several sisters and brothers. 

She leaves to cherish her memory her loving husband of 55 years, William “Billy” Burden; daughter, Laura Kruk; son, Curtis Burden (Natalie); grandchildren, Alex Kruk (Sasha), Kevin Kruk, Jeremy Ramsey (Madison), Christopher Ramsey and Sarah Slayton (Christopher); great-grandchildren, Xander Ramsey and Rowan Ramsey; several sisters and brothers and a host of other family and friends.

Memorial service will be conducted on Monday, October 21, 2024, at 7 pm in the chapel of Schoppenhorst, Underwood & Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Hwy. at Brooks Rd.). Family and friends may pay their respects on Monday, October 21, 2024, from 1 pm until the time of the service at the funeral home.
