William "Bill" Lanham

William "Bill" Lanham, age 76, of Okolona returned to his Heavenly Father December 22, 2014. He was a retired assembler at Ford Motor Company, a member of U.A.W. Local #862, ASA Softball Hall of Fame and Southern High School Alumni Association Hall of Fame member and past president.

Among those who preceded him in death include his parents, Joseph and Ruth Lanham and two sisters.

Mr. Lanham leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife of 54 years, Clara Esterle Lanham; his children, Douglas E. Lanham, Curtis W. Lanham (Cynthia), Deanna M. Jackson (Robert), Bradley L. Lanham and Tricia D. Lanham; 9 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild; and siblings, Mary Peak and Joseph, Ray and Bob Lanham.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held in his honor 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Luke Catholic Church, 4211 Jim Hawkins Drive, with interment to follow at Brookland Cemetery. Friends and family may pay their respects from 2 p.m. until 8 p.m. Friday at Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Hwy. at Brooks Rd.; use John Harper entrance). Contributions may be made in his memory to Hosparus or St. Luke Catholic Church.
