

Funeral Mass is under the direction of Buffington Funeral Home in Shiner, Texas and will be held on Saturday, February 18, 2017 at 10:00 am at Saints Cyril & Methodius Catholic Church in Shiner, Texas with Father Bryan Heyer officiating. Interment will follow at Shiner Catholic Cemetery in Shiner, Texas. A Rosary will be recited on Friday, February 17, 2017 at 7:00 pm at Buffington Funeral Home with Deacon Joe Machacek officiating.
Frank was born on December 4, 1928 in Lavaca County, Texas. He was the son of Ludwig and Ludmila (Zapalac) Orsak. He married Veronica “Vera” Jalufka on September 19, 1955 at Saint Mary’s Catholic Church in Hallettsville, Texas. Frank enlisted in the Military on February 5, 1947, and served in the US Army Paratroopers during the Korean Conflict. He was Honorably Discharged after having earned the rank of Corporal. Frank was a Member of the Shiner American Legion, Post 0201. Frank enjoyed going Hunting and fishing. He was a “diehard” fan of the Houston Astros, and he liked the Houston Texans. He was a social person, always making new friends, because he never met a stranger. He enjoyed a good game of dominoes. Frank loved the grandchildren and was always taking them to the ice cream parlor. Frank and Vera would go to the dance socials when they were younger.
Frank is survived by two sons; Gary Lee Orsak and his wife, Sheila of El Maton, Texas, Glen Alan Orsak of Shiner, Texas, two brothers; Bennie Orsak and his wife, Victoria of Shiner, Texas, Eugene Orsak and his wife, Shirley of Shiner, Texas, four grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; Ludwig and Ludmila Orsak, his loving wife of 59 years; Vera Orsak, two brothers; Ludvik Orsak, Marvin Orsak, two sisters; Gladys M. and Willie May Orsak.
Pallbearers for Mr. Orsak will be; Taylor Roberts, Zachary Orsak, Rusty Hahn, Robert Orsak, Travis Orsak, and Joe Svetlik. Honorary Pallbearers will be; Lincoln Roberts, Graham Roberts, and Tyler Orsak.
