Lillie G Zander

Lillie Zander, of Shiner, Texas, passed away on October 27, 2010, at the age of 93. She was born on October 28, 1916 to the late Frank and Frances Malina. Lillie was married to the late Elton Zander on June 22, 1937 and they had two sons, Don and Arlen. She worked for many years as a clerk for Shiner High School.

Lillie is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Elton; 4 brothers, Jerry, Frank Sr, Leonard and Ben Sr; and 3 sisters, Julia Zimmerman, Olga Zimmerman and Louise Vyvjal.

She is survived by her 2 sons, Don Zander of San Antonio and Arlen Zander of Round Rock; one brother, Ruben Malina of Houston; one sister, Ruth Dusek of San Angelo; four grandchildren, Sherry, Melanie, aaron and Bryan Zander: three great-grandchildren, Luke, Aubrey and Ava Zander.

Visitation will be held at Buffington Funeral Home on Friday, October 29, 2010 from 3 P.M. to 6 P.M. Services will be on Saturday, October 30, 2010 at 10 A.M. at First United Methodist Church in Shiner. Interment will follow at Shiner Cemetery.

Memorials may be given to Shiner United Methodist Church, United Methodist Women or Shiner EMS.
