Ansaf "Ann" Hanna

Our beloved “TETA”, as her grandsons called her, went to be with the Lord Jesus on September 9th after a lengthy battle with her second round of cancer.

Services will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 11, 2012, in the Broadmoor Baptist Church Memorial Chapel with Dr. Chuck Pourciau officiating. Interment will follow in Centuries Memorial Park. Visitation will begin at 10:30 a.m. in the Broadmoor Baptist Church Parlor.

Mrs. Hanna was a long time member of Broadmoor Baptist Church. For years she worked at Steinmart but had retired recently due to her illness. She had a loving relationship with her co-workers whom she considered her second family.

She is survived by her husband of 44 years, H.Y. Hanna; her son, Sherif Hanna and his wife, Christine and their two boys, Joshua and Luke; and her daughter, Sherin Mercer and husband, Matt and their two boys, Michael and Sam.

The family has numerous heartfelt thanks which include Dr. Chad Hargon and Dr. Ann Landry, who not only provided tremendous care but also consistent love and support during this time; W.K. Hospice, specifically Lucie, our nurse, spiritual guide and rock, and to Mary for her loving care; Cassandra, her sitter, who met every possible need no matter day or night; and lastly, we express extreme gratitude for all the friends and family who consistently stood by us through this time including the Copple Class B-Group who were our backbone daily.

Pallbearers will be Matthew Mercer, Michael Mercer, Bruce Mercer, Glen Mercer, Dr. Gerard Henry and Dr. Orlando Padilla.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the Northwest LA Affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure (960 Sheridan, Shreveport LA, 71104) as our battle began many years ago with breast cancer.
