

Funeral Services celebrating the life of Bobbie Jean Barnes Moss, 81, will be held on Friday, May 15, at 11:30 a.m. at Centuries Memorial Chapel. Officiating will be Rev. Doyce Smith, Rev. Churrie Godfrey and Rev. Durrell Tuberville. Interment will follow in Centuries Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 9:30 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. Friday May 15, at the funeral home.
Bobbie was born on November 5, 1933, in Provencal, Louisiana. She went home to be with her Lord on May 12, 2015 in Shreveport, Louisiana. She was a resident of Shreveport and a member of Oakmont Church of God where she faithfully played the piano for many years. Bobbie was retired from Caddo Parish School Board as a teacher and coordinator at Walnut Hill Elementary School. She was a wonderful mother, grandmother, and sister and will be greatly missed by all who knew her. We all wish we could see her once more time standing at the back door, waving goodbye to us as we drive away.
Preceding Bobbie in death were her parents Robbie and Eurcle Barnes. She is survived by sons, Marty Moss and Kevin Moss and wife Stephanie; daughter, Michelle Moss LaPrarie and husband, Barry; Grandchildren, Harlee Moss, Lindsay LaPrarie, and Emily Moss; and sister, Dolly Dupree and husband, Junior.
Pallbearers will be James Dupree, Michael Dupree, Robbie Dupree, Barry LaPrarie, Gary LaPrarie, and Dan Thompson.
The family expresses a special thanks to the nurses and doctors of second floor ICU at Christus Schumpert Highland Hospital in Shreveport.
