Charlotte Gaensehals Davis, loving and faithful wife to James F. Davis for over 68 years, passed away in Arcadia, LA on April 5, 2011.
She was born in Gloster, MS to Rudolf and Ora Gaensehals on October 3, 1918. She attended Louisiana Tech where she played on the Lady Techsters basketball team. She worked for Remington Rand in Alexandria, LA and Washington D.C. and also for the Department of Agriculture in Asheville, N.C.
Mrs. Davis is survived by her husband, James Frederick Davis; son, Rudolf F. Davis and wife, Sarah of North Carolina; five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her daughter, Glenice Davis DuBois.
Services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, April 7, 2011, at Centuries Memorial Funeral Home officiated by Rev. Dana Casey. Interment will follow in Centuries Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 1-2 p.m. on Thursday prior to the service.
