Eddie Charles Ashley

Eddie Charles Ashley, of Bossier City, Louisiana, passed away peacefully on Friday, March 5, 2021, at the age of 46. Born on February 15, 1975, to Artis and Dorothy Ashley, Eddie lived a life full of love, laughter, and unwavering dedication to his family.

Eddie was more than a hardworking man he was the heart of his family. For 17 years, he worked tirelessly with Two Guys Moving, not just to provide, but to ensure those he loved always had what they needed. He took pride in showing up day after day, year after year with strength, humility, and a quiet kind of heroism.

But beyond the hours he put into his job, Eddie’s greatest role and the one he cherished most was being a father. He was the best daddy in the world: protective, kind, funny, and always there with open arms and a big smile. Whether it was sharing stories, cracking jokes, cooking out, or just sitting together, he made every moment feel special. Time with him felt like home.

He leaves to cherish his memory a loving mother, Dorothy Ashley; father, Artis Ashley; siblings, Tammy Ashley, Maurice Ashley, Czar Ashley and Gary Ashley; 4 daughters, Alyssa Tuggle, Cecily Bullard, Jailyn Cole and Kailyn Cole; 1 son, Eddie Ashley Jr.; 1 son-in-law, Zach McKnight; 1 grandbaby, Kaelynn McKnight; special friend, Stacy Tuggle; 1 stepson, and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

He is preceded in death by his brothers and both maternal and paternal grandparents.

A visitation for Eddie will be held Friday, March 12, 2021 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Centuries Memorial Funeral Home, 8801 Mansfield Road, Shreveport, Louisiana 71108. A celebration of his life will occur Saturday, March 13, 2021 at 11:00 AM at Bossier Baptist Church, 809 Hamilton Rd., Bossier City, Louisiana 71111. Interment will follow at Centuries Memorial Park. Rev Donald Wright Sr. will be officiating the services. Serving as pallbearers will be his coworkers and friends from Two Guys Moving. Honorary pallbearers will be Maurice Ashley, Nook Gilbert, JaColby Ashley, Antonio Ashley, LaDarius Ashley, Alexander Bryant, Marquis Ashley Sr., Drew Bowers, Alexander Bowers and Shannon Dabbs.

He leaves behind a legacy of love, strength, and the kind of fatherly devotion that will never be forgotten. Though gone too soon, the impact he made on those who knew him will live on forever.
