Shreveport, LA- Funeral services celebrating the life of Elizabeth Faust Friend, 91, will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, July 6, 2017 in the chapel of Centuries Memorial Funeral Home. Officiating will be Dr. Harold Christenson. Interment will follow in Centuries Memorial Park. Visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m. on Wednesday, July 5, 2017 at Centuries Memorial Funeral Home.
Libby was born on December 5, 1925 in Shreveport, LA and passed away on June 30, 2017. She was a dedicated and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Mrs. Friend was a member of St. Stephen Church. She loved traveling and was an avid gardener.
Mrs. Friend was preceded in death by her parents and siblings.
Left to cherish beautiful memories of Libby is her beloved husband of 66 years, Guy Russell Friend; children, Janet Friend, Sharon Cefalu(Tim), David Friend and Mary Brown(Murray); grandchildren, Dr. Christopher Cefalu(Audrey), Dr. Jeremy Cefalu(Laura) and Sean Cefalu and great grandchildren, Elizabeth Cefalu, Henry Cefalu, Benjamin Cefalu and Jon William Cefalu.
