Elmer Theodore Schuler Jr., of Bossier City, Louisiana passed away on Monday, March 7, 2022, at the age of 80. He was born March 10, 1941, in Oil City, Pennsylvania to Lorraine Baker Schuler and Elmer Theodore Schuler Sr.
Ted honorably served his country in the US Navy. He was a dedicated B operator on the control board at Pennzoil for many years before retiring. Ted never met a stranger and was always willing to help a friend in need. He was an easygoing man, who loved his life and family and lived his life to the fullest.
Ted's passion in life was antique cars. He loved attending car shows, winning many awards, reading car magazines, and being in his car clubs. He won so many awards, they filled a room. Ted also liked spending time riding four-wheelers, camping, shooting guns, and traveling. He enjoyed listening to music especially Elvis Presley, 50s and 60s.
Ted was preceded in death by his wife, Sandra Lee Schuler; his parents; and niece, Deborah Morris. Left to cherish his memory are son, Steven Theodore Schuler; daughter, Terri Lee Rasul (Noaman); grandson, Aaron Zane Gray (Elizabeth Sheyenne); granddaughter, Kayla Brianne Richardson (Michael); granddaughter, Hailey Elizabeth Bennett; great-grandson, Connor Lee Richardson; great-granddaughter, Ryan Camille Richardson; great-granddaughter Lorelei Faith Gray; and sister, Sharon Deneen Huffman (Harry). He is also survived by four nieces, one nephew, and their families.
A visitation for Ted will be held Friday, March 11, 2022, from 12:00 PM to 2:30 PM at Centuries Memorial Funeral Home, 8801 Mansfield Road, Shreveport, Louisiana 71108. Following the visitation will be a graveside at 2:30 PM at Centuries Memorial Park, where he will be laid to rest.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Ted's memory may be made to Alzheimer's Association.
