Shreveport, LA- Funeral services celebrating the life of Farris Alvin Rogers, 76, will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, August 29, 2013 in the chapel of Centuries Memorial Funeral Home. Officiating will be Dr. Larry Williams. Interment will follow in Centuries Memorial Park. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 28, 2013 from the hours of 5:00-7:00 p.m. at Centuries Memorial Funeral Home.
Al was born on January 14, 1937 in Delhi, LA and passed away on August 27, 2013 in Shreveport, LA. Mr. Rogers was a member of Broadmoor Baptist Church. He was a dedicated and devoted family man. Al was an avid golfer and was extremely good at the sport. He never met a stranger and was a friend to all. Mr. Rogers had a great sense of humor and was always happy.
Mr. Rogers was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Demarus Rogers and brothers, Jim and Paul.
Left to cherish beautiful memories of Farris are his wife, Dianne; daughters, Jennifer, Rebecca and Stephanie; nephews, Paul and Vince and niece, Gail.
Honoring Mr. Rogers as pallbearers will be: T-Willie Moore, Raymond Hamiter, Bob Bray, Steve Westbrook, David Fuselier and Eddie Morgan.
