Frances Lynch Boyter was born April 2, 1937 in Shreveport, LA . As a homemaker, Frances spent her life caring for her family. After her faith in God, family was her priority. She was overjoyed to become a grandmother, and she created lasting memories for her children and grandchildren by having regular Sunday lunches with her infamous recipes of roast, rice and gravy or chicken and dumplings topped off by the most delicious oatmeal cookies or over the top chocolate cake.
Frances was happy to become a "Great Granny" and was delighted to meet her great grandchildren. If you ask her grandchildren, one of their fondest memories of Granny was her infectious laugh. She was queen of the "giggle-fit” and they loved to make her laugh. Other fond memories with Granny include family trips, spending the night, and intense card games that could last hours.
After she raised her children, she and her husband Paul discovered the game of golf and spent countless hours playing. They made many friends playing golf, with whom they enjoyed venturing out to experience a variety of golf courses.
Over the years, Frances was a member of a variety of clubs and social activities. In recent years, she enjoyed social activities including lunch with special friends, playing dominoes and painting. She was a devoted member of the Church of Christ and found great comfort in her faith. Frances had a kind and generous spirit.
Frances went home to be with the Lord on Saturday March 29, 2025 at the age of 87. She truly mirrored the love of Jesus to all she met. Our lives are better for having known, loved and been loved by her and we will miss her tremendously.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William Paul Boyter; daughter-in-law, Tina Boyter; father, Louis B. Lynch; mother, Frances Murrell Lynch; brother, Jerry Lynch and sister, Virginia Hickman.
