Frank Edward Powell Jr.

Mr. Frank Edward “Ed” Powell, Jr. 88, of Shreveport, LA, was born in Castor, LA on January 25, 1922 and passed away in Shreveport on July 16, 2010. He has been a lifelong resident of this area. Ed was a member of Christ Lutheran Church which was formerly known as Our Savior Lutheran Church. Ed retired from Rountree Olds-Cadillac after many years of service in the Auto body Department.

Graveside services will be held on Monday, July 19, 2010 at 9:00 a.m. in Centuries Memorial Park. Following graveside services will be a memorial service at his church, Christ Lutheran Church, 1106 Shreveport Barksdale Hwy, Shreveport, LA, beginning at 10:30 a.m. Pastor Perry Culver of Christ Lutheran Church will officiate. Visitation will be from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 18, 2010 at Centuries Memorial Funeral Home.

Ed was preceded in death by one brother, one sister and his parents. Survivors include his wife of 17 years, Mable Powell; son, Jim Powell and wife Jacki; daughter, Lura Prescott; grandsons, Beau and Jacob Powell; granddaughter, Patricia and numerous nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Beau Powell, Jacob Powell, Billy Powell, Mason Powell, Adam Harkin and Scott Sanders.
