

SHREVEPORT, LA- A service celebrating the life of Harold W. Rogé, Jr. will be held at 10 A.M. on Thursday, March 24, 2016 at Centuries Memorial Funeral Home. Rev. Jerry Kennedy will officiate. The family will receive visitors at the funeral home on Wednesday, March 23, from 5 P.M. to 7 P.M.
He was born Harold Willard Rogé, Jr. on Wednesday, July 21, 1948 to Harold and Myrtle Rogé in Natchitoches, LA and entered his heavenly home on Saturday, March 19, 2016. He was a loving husband of 38 years, and a devoted father, grandfather and uncle. Mr. Rogé worked for the Shreveport Fire department from May 1, 1970 to May 1, 1998 and retired as a Captain. As a mason, his dedication garnered him many leadership posts and accomplishments including: Sunset Lodge #438, Past Master; Queensboro Lodge #418, Master; Cedar Grove Lodge #403, PM; Order of the Eastern Star #227, Worthy Patron; Shreveport Chapter #10, R.A.M.; Shreveport Council #23, R. and S.M.; Ascension Commandery #6, Knights Templar; Shreveport Valley of the Scottish Rite; El Karubah Shrine Temple, Clown unit; South Central Shrine Clown Association; International Shrine Clown Association; Southeastern Shrine Clown Association; Royal American Shrine Club.
Mr. Rogé was preceded in death by his father Harold W. Rogé, Sr. Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Connie Reed Rogé, his mother Myrtle Rachal Rogé, his sister Debra Wallace (husband Steve), his brother Mickey Rogé (wife Gwen), his brother-in-law James Rice, his grandchildren Christine Ezernack (husband Shane) and Harold Rogé IV (wife Christian), his great-grandchildren Madison, Mallorie and Dixon Ezernack, and many more nephews, family and friends.
Pallbearers for Mr. Rogé are Charley Taylor, Charles Taylor II, Ronnie Carter, Greg Cochran, Jim Mayo, Tommy Carpenter, Keith Nale and Jim Smith. Honorary pallbearers are David Ross, Mike Marino, and the members of Sunset Lodge #438, O.E.S. #227, Queensboro Lodge #418, Cedar Grove Lodge #403 and the SFD ROMEO Club.
In Lieu of flowers, the family suggests that a donation to Grace Home in Shreveport or Shriners Children’s Charities be made in his honor
