Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, February 24, 2021 at 2:00 pm at Centuries Memorial Funeral Home, 8801 Mansfield Road, Shreveport, Louisiana. Visitation will be from 1:00-2:00 at Centuries Memorial Funeral Home.
Irma married the love of her life, John David Penick on May 26, 1957. She and John had two boys, David Wayne Penick of Shreveport and John Russell Penick of Mansfield, Texas.
Left to cherish her memory are husband John David Penick, sons David Wayne Penick (Pam), and John Russell Penick; grandson Jonathon Penick, Sr. (Lena) and granddaughter Candace Penick; great grandchildren Jonathon Penick, Jr., Allison Penick, Brody Rosati and Sophie Rosati; sister Ann Treadway (Billy) brother Dale Hernandez and nieces and nephews.
Irma was much loved and will be dearly missed by everyone who had the pleasure of knowing her. She loved her church, Christ United Methodist, and the many friends she made in life. She loved her family and was very devoted to them. She loved nature, the birds and all of God’s creations. They were all blessings to her. We lost a wonderful precious person when God took back his child.
