

Shreveport, LA- A Mass of Christian Burial celebrating the life of James Barton Carlton, Jr., 54, will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, June 6, 2017 at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Centuries Memorial Park, 8801 Mansfield Rd., Shreveport, LA 71108. Visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m. on Monday, June 5, 2017 with a vigil service beginning at 7 p.m. at Centuries Memorial Funeral Home.
Jim was born on December 6, 1962 in Baton Rouge, LA and passed away on May 31, 2017 in Shreveport, LA. Jim served his country proudly in the U.S. Navy.
He was a gun enthusiast, avid hunter, fisherman and outdoorsman. Jim was kind and loving with his with family and friends, he had a servant’s heart and would always help anyone in need. Jim was preceded in death by his grandparents and cousin, Jason Person.
Left to cherish beautiful memories of Jim are his parents, James B Carlton, Sr. and Virginia Carlton; sisters, Julie Carlton, Angela Moles and her husband Peter; nephews, Michael and Chris Moles; aunt and uncle, Carolyn and Jim Person; cousin, Eric Person and wife Jessica and their children Dalton and
Maddie; aunt, LaCelia Henderson; cousins, Katy Henderson, Sally Walding and her husband Michael and their children Brady and Harper. Jim is also survived by numerous other loving relatives and friends.
Honoring Jim as pallbearers will be Michael Moles, Michael Walding, John David Person, Chris Moles, Mac McCrary and Robert Miller.
