SHREVEPORT, LA - Graveside services for Mr. James E. "Jim" Elkins will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, September 12, 2017, at Centuries Memorial Park, officiated by Rev. Harry Forester. There will be a brief visitation prior to the service beginning at 10:00 a.m. Jim entered this world on September 30, 1931, in Milford, Missouri, and was the son of Charles and Florence Elkins.
He was a U.S. Navy veteran and had worked in the gaming industry as a security guard. In May of this year, Jim lost the love of his life, his wife, Mae. Try as they might, friends and neighbors could never take the place of Mae. Jim passed away on August 29, 2017, at the age of 85 years.
Jim is survived by his dear friends, Ron Amos, and Mary O'Con; and his church family.
