James showed an early aptitude for all things tech-related. After 1983 he embarked on a remarkable journey as owner and CEO of Computer Aided Technologies (SCANCAT) and shaping it into a pioneering force in the field. He leaves behind a legacy of innovation and leadership in the technology industry.
Beyond the boardroom, James was a passionate soul with diverse interests. He found solace and joy in the melody of the guitar, capturing moments through the lens of a camera, and exploring the world through travel. A dedicated member of the Ham Radio Community, he fostered connections and shared knowledge with fellow enthusiasts.In addition to his technological pursuits, James was also an avid gun enthusiast, finding both skill and camaraderie in the sport.
But perhaps James greatest joy came from being surrounded by loved ones. He cherished family gatherings, where laughter filled the air and memories were made. His warm presence and unwavering support brought comfort to those fortunate enough to know him.
James is survived by his sons Paul Springer (Gina) and James Springer (Cathie); his grandchildren Jordan Stroud (Izzy), Rayven Kracman (Aaron), Michael Springer, Eric Springer (Jenna), Jill Greenwood (Dylan), his great grandchildren Dean Kracman, Brynlee Kracman, Alexandra Greenwood and Matthew Greenwood.
James was preceded in death by his wife Alicia Waldron Springer; his parents Paul M Springer (Hilda Schneider Springer); his brother Don Springer.
A Celebration of Life Memorial Service for James will be held Saturday, June 15, 2024 at 10:00 AM at Centuries Memorial Funeral Home, 8801 Mansfield Road, Shreveport, Louisiana 71108.
Though James may no longer walk among us, his spirit will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him. He leaves behind a legacy of kindness, creativity, and boundless curiosity that will continue to inspire us all.
