Katherine Watts Walker

Katherine Watts Walker (97) entered heavenly rest in her sleep on October 12, 2022. She was born in Shreveport on September 5, 1925 to William Calvin Watts and Sibyl Pierce.

She married John William Walker (Johnnie) in 1944 and lived in Shreveport until 2019 when she moved to Mandeville, La, to be with family. She was a member of Brookwood Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and her son, John (Jay) William Walker, Jr., her siblings, William Pierce Watts, Judy Rollins, Marolyn England and Carolyn McHugh.

She is survived by her son Clayton Pierce Walker, Sr. and his wife Debbie, of Mandeville. Grandchildren Brandon Walker (April), Barret Walker(Deanna), Sibyl Walker, Rebecca Spencer (Tim) and Clayton Walker, Jr. (Brittany). Great grandchildren Katherine Walker, Mattie Makana Gelman, Reid Bennett Spencer, Clayton Pierce Walker, III (Tripp) and Charlotte Rose Walker. Also by Brandon, Barret and Sibyl’s mother and step-father, Becky and Dan Hrnack of Dallas.

A visitation for Katherine will be held Saturday, October 22, 2022 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Centuries Memorial Funeral Home, 8801 Mansfield Road, Shreveport, Louisiana 71108, followed by a celebration of life at 1:00 PM. She will be laid to rest in Centuries Memorial Park. Officiating the service will be her grandson, Brandon Walker.
