The youngest child and only daughter born to Lewis and Nita Richardson was raised on a dairy farm in Grand Cane, Louisiana. Kathleen's childhood was spent running through pastures, swimming in ponds, bottle feeding calves and being tied to trees by her brothers.
Kathleen worked her way through college. She was committed to nursing and earned a Bachelor of Science and a Master's Degree from Northwestern School of Nursing and was a licensed Nurse Practitioner. Most of her career was with Willis Knighton Health System. When given the opportunity, she and her nurse developed a rural medical clinic in Plain Dealing, LA, serving many years as the sole practitioner.
A kind and generous person, she left her fingerprints on the lives of many. She will be deeply missed.
Preceding her in death were her parents and brother's Greg and Ted Richardson.
Surviving Kathleen is her partner of 32 years, Denise Fair, Denise's family Garcia Lee Fair, Patti and Joby Maniscalco, Holli and Eric Lewis, Casey Meshell, Abbie Reynolds, Cobey, Cole and Ace. She is also survived by her sister-in-law Addy Richardson and family, and the daughter she always wanted Diana Gipson, and family friends Betty Jones and Carrie Page. And not forget her sweet cats Louie and Twiggy.
A private memorial will be held at a later date.
Rest in peace sweet girl. We'll see you at another time.
