Kenneth Lee Stringer passed away on Tuesday, May 9, 2023 at home at the age of 69. He was born on March 24, 1954 in Shreveport, Louisiana to Quinton and Lois Stringer. He grew up in a loving family with 3 older sisters.
Kenneth was a 1972 graduate of Woodlawn High School. He graduated as a theology major in 1978 from Jackson College of Ministries. It was there that he met the love of his life, Victoria. They were married on October 28, 1978 and evangelized in the northeast United States. Kenneth and Victoria shared 44 wonderful years together. Kenneth was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. Kenneth and Victoria lived in Pontiac, Michigan and later settled in Shreveport, Louisiana. There they raised their daughter, Jennifer. Kenneth later followed in the footsteps of his mother and became a nurse. He loved helping others and was an easy-going, kind, and genuine man.
Kenneth was a faithful member of The Pentecostals of Bossier City for 23 years. Attending church was a priority in his life, but due to health issues in recent years he was unable to attend regularly. Kenneth was an outdoorsman. He thoroughly enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was also a fantastic cook and loved preparing meals for his family. He loved to sing. While at Jackson Bible College, Kenneth sang in the choir, chorale, and men's quartet. He traveled throughout the United States and was featured on records at Gospel Fest, J.C.M. College, and with the Detroit Symphony.
Kenneth is survived by his loving wife, Victoria; daughter, Jennifer; Son-in-Law, Kip; two granddaughters, Louisa and Evelyn; his sisters Pat Parker and husband, Lonnie, Judy Mohawk and husband, Ike, and Linda Langford, and numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, Quinton and Lois Stringer. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who knew him.
A visitation for Kenneth will be held Thursday, May 11, 2023 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Pentecostals of Bossier City, 2833 Viking Dr. Bossier City, LA, in the Current Center. A funeral service will occur Friday, May 12, 2023 at 10:00 AM at Pentecostals of Bossier City in the Current Center.
