Life celebration services for Kenya Boyd will be held at 2 P.M. on Thursday, June 30, 2016 at Centuries Memorial Funeral Home. Pastor Gene Nix of Shreve City Baptist Church will officiate. The Family will receive guest prior to the service from 1 P.M. until service time.
Kenya was born on Friday, October 8, 1965 to John Kenneth Boyd, Sr. and Cecilia Jean King in Baytown, TX. She was a shining light to all that came to know her, and a perfect example of joy and innocence. Jesus called her into his loving arms on Monday, June 27, 2016.
Ms. Boyd was preceded in death by her Father, her grandparents Horatio and Betty Brookins and her brother James Kevin Boyd. She is survived by her mother Cecilia Jean Boyd, her brothers Michael Albert Boyd and John Kenneth Boyd, her sisters Karla Ann Thornton (husband Willie) and Kerri Lynn Sadowski (husband Kurt), and many other treasured family members and friends.
