Kevin was a kind, generous, and fiercely independent man, even in the face of life’s challenges. He truly never met a stranger. Talking with people was one of his greatest joys, and he had a remarkable way of making everyone feel seen and valued. Whether he was visiting with bus drivers, laughing with casino servers over a fresh cup of coffee, or striking up a conversation with someone new, Kevin’s warmth and friendliness left a lasting impression everywhere he went.
He took great pride in his years working at the Frost/James Conly Center, and he often spoke about looking forward to retirement. Kevin found happiness in life’s simple pleasures and routines, and he lived each day on his own terms.
Kevin had a deep love for bowling and enjoyed spending time at the lanes, where he could relax and have fun. He also enjoyed visiting the casino, especially playing the penny machines, where he was just as happy enjoying the experience as he was hoping for a win. At home, he liked to unwind by watching television, finding comfort in his favorite shows like Reba, Jeopardy, Kelly Clarkson and Inside Edition (where he said he got the news).
One of Kevin’s most unique joys was riding the city bus. He didn’t need a destination—he simply loved the ride, the routine, and most of all, the people. It was another way for him to connect, to talk, and to share moments with others. He also had a playful side and loved popping fireworks, especially blackjacks, finding excitement and fun in those small bursts of celebration.
More than anything, Kevin was a people person. He formed connections wherever he went, and those connections meant everything to him. His kindness, independence, and genuine love for others made him unforgettable. Everyone who knew Kevin loved him, and many who only met him briefly felt the same.
He is survived by his father, Louis Leblanc; his mother, Janet Leblanc; his brothers, John Keith Leblanc and Kory Warrick Leblanc; his sister, Amanda Leblanc Mason; his nephews, Peyton Tyler Speckman and Lucas Warrick Leblanc; and numerous cousins and extended family.
Kevin’s memory will live on in the many lives he touched through his kindness, his conversations, and the simple joy he brought to everyday moments.
