A service celebrating Madelyn Paige Mann will be conducted Wednesday, July 2nd 1:00PM at Centuries Memorial Funeral Home, Shreveport, LA. Visitation with the family will be from 1:00PM-2:00PM. Funeral services will commence after the visitation and interment will follow in Centuries Memorial Park.
Madelyn Paige Mann was born to Jennifer and David Mann on June 29th, 2005 in Shreveport, LA. She went to be with our Lord June 27th, 2025 in Shreveport, La. Madelyn was a Christian; saved and baptized at eight years old under the guidance of Brother Sullivan at Shreveport Baptist Temple.
As Madelyn matured, so did her passion for exploring new experiences and embracing challenges. This dedication led her to numerous accomplishments, including learning to play the piano at Walnut Hill Middle School, playing softball at Calvary Baptist Academy, joining the Junior Reserve Officers’ Training Corps, and being inducted into the National Honor Society at Captain Shreve High School.
Madelyn graduated from Captain Shreve High School class of 2023. She then went on to attend Southwestern Illinois college. Madelyn worked in Southwestern Illinois College’s Financial Aid Department and at J. Emmett Hinchcliffe Sr. Elementary School’s “Before & After School” Program.
Madelyn was formally diagnosed with cancer in October of 2023. She fought courageously for nearly two years, all while remaining determined, joyful, hilarious, and undeniably beautiful. She is loved and missed dearly by many.
Ms.Mann is preceded in death by her mother, Jennifer Marie Coleman Mann; uncle, Troy Christopher Coleman; grandparents, Thomas and Janis Coleman; great-grandmother, Nelda Sims Thurmond; great-grandmother, Lawana Mathews; great-uncle and great-aunt, Steve and Glenda Coleman. She is survived by her father, David Allen Mann II; sisters, Mckenzie Rae Coleman and Claudia Jace Mann; uncle, Todd Coleman; aunt, Jill Coleman Ben Slama and husband Bilel; aunt, Julie Coleman Freeman; aunt, Tina Galano Morgan; cousins, Rileigh and Jackson Greening, Lainey Presley, Kaleb, Chance, and Lydia Freeman, Bailey, Brielle, and Christian Coleman, and Slade Hernandez; friends, Cara Johnston and daughter Louise, Mike Keller and wife Ruth and daughter Kayla, Andrea Norton and daughter Ava.
Honoring her as Pallbearers are David Mann, Todd Coleman, Jackson Greening, Bilel Ben Slama, Chance Freeman, and Slade Hernandez. Honorary Pallbearers are Troy Christopher Coleman, Kaleb Freeman, Christian Coleman.
