Oneida Miller Jacobs

Shreveport, LA Oneida Miller Jacobs was born April 17, 1923 in Shreveport. She went to be with her Lord Thursday, July 24, 2014. Her parents were George and Lucille Miller. Mrs. Jacobs attended Byrd High School. She married her husband of 70 years, Thomas B. Jacobs, Sr. on October 7, 1938. She loved to read her Bible and had taught Sunday School at Cedar Grove Methodist Church.

Mrs. Jacobs is preceded in death by her parents; her husband; two brothers, Bobby and George Miller; and a sister, Clara. She is survived by her sons, Thomas B. Jacobs, Jr. and wife Glenda and Dwain Jacobs; granddaughters, Misti Duke, Shea Monsour and husband Joey, and Jill Sepulvado; grandsons, David Jacobs and James Kenneth Jacobs and wife Laura; great-grandchildren, Justin Hickingbottom, Thomas Duke, Jacob Duke, Sadie Nicholas, Chloe Merrick, Bailey LeMay, and Allison Jacobs; great great-grandchildren, Brayden Shores and Ryleigh Ann Shores; a sister, Lilly Faye Cunningham and several other relatives and friends.

A graveside service will be held Saturday, July 26, 2014, 11:00 AM in Centuries Memorial Park Cemetery. Officiating will be Rev. Monroe Mercer. Visitation with the family will be 10 AM until service time Saturday at Centuries Memorial Funeral Home, Shreveport, LA.
