She was proud of many things in life, including her sons, her husband, her businesses, and the five novels she published with Harlequin Historicals. She was born June 30, 1937, in Lufkin, Texas, and was a graduate of McCallum High School, Austin, Texas and the University of Texas, also in Austin, graduating with Honors in Pure Mathematics.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Johnny Parker Rowell, Sr., her dear parents, Willard Houghton and Mary Edna Buttler Moore, her greatly beloved grandparents, and friends and older relations. She is survived by her children and their spouses and significant others, Andrew Nathaniel Annand and Kelly Colleen Conroy, James Houghton Annand and Rene’e M. Necko Annand, and John Adam and Leigh Elizabeth Pope Annand, John Parker Jr and Cindy Rowell, Ricky and Shelia Rowell, William Dean and Pamela Darlene Bass Rowell and Darlene Michelle Rowell and James Michael Hussman. She also leaves fifteen grandchildren and their spouses and significant others, Zachary Nathaniel, Gabriella Lauren Eloise, Noah Edward, Amber Niccole Annand, Andrew Houghton, Aidan Thomas and Arynn Kethely Annand, Joseph Rowell, Dee Marsh, Eric and Ashley Rowell, JoyAnna and Jeremy McCartney, Camille Elise Hussman, Jillian Paige Hussman and Auslie and Kylie Geunter and their little sister Presley. She also leaves the best brother in the world, John Willard Moore and his family, and two wonderful sisters-in-law, Linda Lou Albert Moore and Maggie Jane Rowell Shuler, and her chosen sister Sue Harvey Harrison.
