Ronnie served in the United States Army for 6 years where he earned his metal in National Defense Service and Expert Marksmanship Badge.
Ronnie is a man who loves life, family, friends and the great outdoors. He is his wife's best friend and the person anyone could call for help. If he wasn't at home tinkering around the house, he could be found on the pond or lake fishing. He made sure his daughter and older grandkids could drive, change their own oil, and tires. he always had answers or ideas to share and will be greatly missed.
Ronald is survived by his wife, Joyce Stumbaugh; daughters Melita Blackburn (John), Jennifer Hoskins (William Dale), Leyla Hockaday (David), Melissa Redding (Michael) and Pattie Whitten (Chris); mother Lahoma Stumbaugh; father-in-law Wesley Buck; brother Randy Stumbaugh (Kathy), sisters Beverly Allen (Bob), Kathy Garner (Matt) and Valerie Harrison (Dale); grandchildren, Juliet Hockaday, Hayden Dean, Nathaniel Hoskins, Tony Redding, Jackson Hoskins, Emmalyn Hoskins, Dillon Cleckler, Skylar Cleckler, Katilyn Hoskins, Dalton Hoskins, Levi McBride, Eve McBride, Will Redding, Summer Redding, Beaux Redding and Bradlee Redding. Ronald is also survived by countless nephews, nieces, and cousins.
Ronald was preceded in death by father Harold Stumbaugh; brother Wesley Stumbaugh.
A visitation for Ronald will be held Sunday, December 20, 2020 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM in the chapel at Centuries Memorial Funeral Home, 8801 Mansfield Rd, Shreveport, Louisiana 71108. A funeral service will occur Tuesday, December 22, 2020 at 12:00 PM in the chapel at Centuries Memorial Funeral Home. A committal service will occur Tuesday, December 22, 2020 at 2:00 PM at Northwest Louisiana Veterans Cemetery, 7970 Mike Clark Rd, Keithville, Louisiana 71047. Officiating services will be Pastor Russ Perry. Serving as pallbearers are Jon Blackburn, William Dale Hoskins, David Hockaday, Michael Redding, Hayden Dean and Nathaniel Hoskins.
In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate financial contributions to be made in Ronald's name to Joyce Stumbaugh's account at Willis Knighton Federal Credit Union. Any gifts will ensure Joyce is able to transition to life without Ronnie and pay their medical bills.
