Ruby Thomas

Ruby worked for Calumet 35 years until her retirement. One of her greatest joys in life was cooking for family and friends, and was known for her great food. She was always willing to help those in need. Ruby was a faithful member of Mt. Bethel Number 2 Chapel where she loved to serve. She will be greatly missed by those who knew her best and loved her most.

Ruby was preceded in death by her parents; grandparents, Elijah and Willie Ann Simon; brother, Ronald C. Mitchell; sister, Ann Marie Smith; nephew, Jared Hullaby; aunts, Isabella Sanders and Bernice Graham; daughter-in-law, Tia Gray.

She is survived by her sons, Jacob and Michael Gray and wife Amanda; daughter, Monica Mitchell; eleven grandchildren, three great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and many other relatives and friends.

A visitation will be held on Friday, March 11, 2022 from 5:00 - 7:00 PM at Centuries Memorial Funeral Home, 8801 Mansfield Road, Shreveport, Louisiana 71108. A Celebration of Life service will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, March 12, 2022 at Mt. Bethel Number 2 Baptist Chapel, 3479 Mount Bethel Rd., Keithville, Louisiana 71047.
