Mr. Hay was born May 30, 1952 in Shreveport, LA. He passed Friday, October 25, 2013 in Shreveport, LA. Mr. Hay was a member of St. Vincent De Paul.
Mr. Hay retired from Libbey Glass after 37 devoted years of service. He was a devout Catholic, serving God through acts of kindness in the community. He was a wonderful father, whose enormous heart and loving kindness transcended to his daughters. Beneath his quiet exterior was a quick-witted man with a quirky personality. His family will greatly miss their move nights, trips to the beach, his sense of humor and, most of all, his selfless guidance.
His brother, Bernard Everett Hay, his mother, Mary B. Hay, and beloved pet, Milo, preceded him in death.
Mr. Hay is survived by his daughters, Kendal Leigh Hay, Kellye Rene Hay, and Katie Veronica Judith Hay and their mother, Media H. Hay and friend, Charles Roney; his grandson, Cadence Everett Hay; his sister, Margaret H. Hancock and husband, Howard; his brother, Robert Keith Hay and wife, Teresa; his nephews, Ronald David Hancock, Bernard Stephen Hancock, Andrew Keith Hay; his great-niece, Hallah Hancock and his black cat, Jinxy.
The family would like to thank the staff and volunteers at Grace Home, the members of St. Vincent De Paul, his church community, St. Elizabeth Ann Seton, and fondly, his co-workers and friends at Libbey Glass.
