Teresa “Terri” Diane Long, was born November 11, 1968, in El Dorado, Arkansas, and passed away April 6, 2026. Terri’s life was marked by a steady devotion to others—expressed in quiet thoughtfulness, a gentle spirit, and a kind-hearted way of making people feel seen and valued.
Terri grew up in Shreveport, where her faith and friendships were nurtured through her active involvement in Summer Grove Baptist Church. She especially loved singing in the choir, joining mission trips with friends, and taking part in the many activities that shaped her early years and strengthened her loyal, caring nature.
Terri loved people and carried an open warmth that made strangers feel like friends. She enjoyed cruises and vacations with those she cared about, embracing life with resilience and a spirit of adventure. Her home reflected her heart—welcoming and comforting, often offering a warm meal, a listening ear, and the compassion that came so naturally to her. Known for greeting others with a warm hug, she also had a rare ability to appreciate the small moments, cherishing the simple gifts of everyday life.
For the last 15 years, Terri lived in Memphis, Tennessee. Wherever she was, she remained steadfast in the love she gave so freely. She loved her family fiercely, and her son was the delight of her heart; she was profoundly proud of him and treasured every moment they shared.
Terri will be missed by all who loved her, yet her family finds comfort in faith—knowing she is now in the arms of Jesus, and trusting they will see her again.
