Travis Larry Gilley

Larry was predeceased by his infant son Randal Alton Gilley, grandson Christopher Michael Gilley, his sister Linda Joyce Gilley Millican, his parents and grandparents and several cousins.

He survived by is wife of 62 years Ella Sue Johns Gilley, two sons- Gerald Gene Gilley of Nevada, Texas, and Michael Wayne Gilley of Shreveport, two grandsons, Joshua Howard Gilley amd Nicholas Evan Gilley of Shreveport, and two brothers Lawrence Alton Gilley and wife Jeanette, and Steven Mark Gilley and his wife Sherri, and brother- in- law Tommy Millican. He also survived by numerous nieces and nephews, as well as several cousins.

Larry graduated from Fair Park High School in 1962. He was employed by Western Electric in Shreveport from 1969 until 1988, when he moved to Georgia, working for AT&T there. He retired 1999 from AT&T and he and Sue returned to Shreveport in 2000. He was an avid golfer, long time member of Northwood HIlls Gold Club and participated several years in the World Amateur in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.

Funeral services for Larry will be held at Centuries Memorial Funeral Home on January 13, 2026, at 1PM, with visitation from 12PM-1PM prior to the service. Burial will follow in Centuries Memorial Park.
