Willfretta "Pat" Persinger was born Jan. 22, 1936 to Beulah Gambrel Roark and Cecil Roark in London, KY. She moved to Indianapolis, IN in 1952 and lived there for over 30 years. She moved to Shreveport, LA in 1984 with AT&T where she worked for 38 years. She was a loyal member of Southpark Church of God. She loved animals, mostly cats, trees and roses. Pat touched hundreds of lives throughout her 88 years.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband, James A Persinger and two sons, Howard Lockaby and his wife, Penny, and Paul Persinger; granddaughter, Aimee Lockaby; brother, Arlis Roark and sister, Jewel Marlene Trester.
Left to cherish the memory of a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother, her son, James Persinger and wife, Janice; grandchildren, Shelly Nelson and husband, Bill, and Jennifer Ramey and Daniel Runnels; and eight great grandchildren and countless friends and extended family.
Pat passed away on Thursday, March 14, 2024 surrounded by family in Sanford, FL.
A visitation for Pat will be held Thursday, March 21, 2024 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Centuries Memorial Funeral Home & Park, 8801 Mansfield Road, Shreveport, Louisiana 71108, followed by a celebration of life at 2:00 PM.
