Bessie Fraser Goodall

GOODALL, (SMITH) (Nee Wilson), Bessie Fraser – Stewiacke, passed away at Vimy Court, Bible Hill on February 13, 2012. Born March 28, 1924 in Coldstream the daughter of the late J. Henry and Emma (Fraser) Wilson. Bessie was the last of the Wilson family, predeceased by 5 brothers and 3 sisters. First married to Herbert Smith and later to Howard Goodall and she moved to London, Ontario until he retired and they returned to Nova Scotia. Bessie is survived by three children Larry (Shirley) Smith, NL; Elva (Rick) Turner, New Minas; and Diane Smith, East Stewiacke; and ex spouse John Smith, Halifax and three grandchildren Carroll (Smith) (Brian) Chaulk, Mt Carmel, NL; Jason (Stephanie)Turner, London, ON; and Trevor Turner, Ottawa; and four great grandchildren Elliston and Zelie Chaulk, Doyle and Dylan Turner. A special thank you to the Acadian Lane staff at Vimy Court, Bible Hill. She was a life member of St. Andrew’s United Church, Stewiacke and the Hyatt Community Church in London, Ontario. She loved to play cards, knit, sew and bake. She was mostly a housewife and for a short time a machine operator at Stanfield’s. Visitation 4-7 pm on Thursday, with funeral service 2 pm Friday, both in Ettinger Funeral Home, 2812 Highway 2, Exit 10, Shubenacadie, Rev. David LeBlanc officiating. Spring interment in Pine Grove Cemetery, Stewiacke East. Family flowers only, donations may be made to Pine Grove Cemetery or St. Andrew’s United Church, Stewiacke.
