

CONWAY, Kenneth James, 69, Hardwood Lands passed away Friday, October 3, 2008 in the VG Site of the QEII Health Sciences Centre, Halifax, after nine years of living with non Hodgkins lymphoma but still very much enjoying life, family, and travelling on his motorcycle. He was the son of Eileen Marie (Bardsley) Conway
and the late James Augustus Conway of Halifax. Ken formerly owned Conway’s Auto Salvage, Harrietsfield and later Conway’s Food Ltd., Hardwood Lands. Ken had a great time with his coffee friends at Sutherland’s Restaurant and Tim Horton’s. He is survived and will be greatly missed by his mother; wife of 48 years, Audrey (Lane), daughters Kendra Smith (Clyde), Upper Burlington, Kelly Maguire (Eric), Shubenacadie, grandchildren Jessica, Matthew, Samuel and Christopher Smith, brothers Robert (Venita), Halifax, Garry (Pam), King City, Ontario, many nieces and nephews. Cremation has taken place under the direction of Ettinger’s Funeral Home, Shubenacadie. Visitation will be Tuesday, October 7, 2008 from 2-4 pm and 6-8 pm and funeral will be Wednesday, October 8, 2008 at 2 pm, Rev. Helen Waddell officiating, both at Ettinger’s Funeral Home, 2812 Main Street, Shubenacadie. Ken will be laid to rest in Hardwood Lands Cemetery. Family flowers only. Donations in Ken’s memory may be made to Nova Scotia Cancer Society or a charity of your choice. Please note, due to allergies of a family member, no scents please.
