

ISENOR, Lois Georgina Olivia 80, Lantz, passed away peacefully Sunday September 25, 2011 in the Halifax Infirmary Site, QEII. Born in Lantz, she was a daughter of the late Kenneth and Gladys (Isenor) Preeper. She worked for Cara Flight Services at the Halfax International Airport and was a cleaner at the Airport for several years. Lois always looked forward to Saturday night dances in Nine Mile River. She was a wonderful mother and she always put her children first. She will be sadly missed by her children, Richard (Joan) Preeper, Elmsdale; Perry (Dianne McKibbon) Isenor, Dutch Settlement; Tony (Cheryl) Isenor, Elmsdale; Randy (Joanna) Isenor, Antrim; Betty(Kenneth) Handy, Dartmouth; Margaret Hall (John Shipley), Enfield; Darren (Tracey) Preeper, Dutch Settlement; Shawn Preeper (Cindy Elliott), Milford; Eugene Randall Smith, Truro; 25 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren; sister Flora Peck, Dutch Settlement; brothers Ivan (Angel) Preeper, Dutch Settlement and Kenneth Preeper, Truro; numerous nieces and nephews and a special niece, Judy Barron who was so kind to her over the years. She was predeceased by a son Wade; common-law-husband Wilfred Preeper; sisters Dora Isenor and Norma Mombourquette, a brother Murray Preeper and 2 infant brothers. Cremation has taken place under the care and direction of Ettinger Funeral Home, Shubenacadie. Visitation will be 2-4 and 6-8pm Wednesday September 28, 2011 in Ettinger Funeral Home, 2812 Highway 2, Shubenacadie. A graveside service will be held 2pm Thursday September 29, 2011 in St George’s Cemetery, Dutch Settlement, Rev. Patricia McKenna officiating. Family flowers only, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation. Special thanks to the nurses on 8.1 at the QEII for their outstanding care and compassion.
