PAUL, Rhoda Ann – 78, Truro, passed away July 18, 2011, in Truro, surrounded by her family. Born in Saint John, NB, she was a daughter of the late William and Sarah (Noel) Paul. Rhoda is survived by her daughters Brenda (Terry), Fran (Cecil) both of Halifax; Jo-Anne (Hillard), Dartmouth; Viola (Wilfred); Truro, Lauretta, Dartmouth; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; brothers Chief Lawrence (Jane) Paul, Millbrook; Daniel (Patricia) Paul, Halifax; sisters Jane Adema, Evelyn Paul, Rebecca (William) Paolini, Violet Paul, all of Indian Brook Rosaleta, (Robert) MacMillan, Shubenacadie; Starleen Wysote, Millbrook; godchildren, Sylvia Sylliboy, Roger Lewis, Colleen Briere, Carl Adema, Donna Lewis, Gilbert Brooks and Lorraine Googoo. She was predeceased by her former husband Joseph Levi Sylliboy, common-law-husband Alfred MacPhee; daughters Sylvia, Barbara and Wanda; grandson Vaughan and a grandson-in-infancy Dre Burt; granddaughter Melissa; sisters Sylvia, Violet, Theresa, Frances, brothers Robert, John Angus and Frank. Visitation 2-4 & 6-9pm, Wednesday, in Ettinger Funeral Home, 2812 Highway 2, Shubenacadie with funeral service 11am, Thursday, in St. Catherine’s Roman Catholic Church, Indian Brook, Father Tom Kurudeepan O.M.I. officiating. Cremation will follow, with interment in St. Catherine’s Cemetery at a later date. Memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Society.
