

BROWN, Theresa Lillian, Stewiacke/ Gays River passed away quietly at home on Friday August 20, 2010. Born in Neils Harbour on August 23, 1922 she was the daughter of the late George and Susan (Rogers) Fricker. Theresa and her family moved from Cape Breton to Milford in 1954. She was an avid reader, enjoyed spending time with family, and camping. Theresa was employed for many years as a bookkeeper. She is survived by daughters Florence (John) Ciavarella of Brampton Ont., and Kathy (Jim) Wilson of Enfield, brothers Stuart (Pat) Fricker of Ingonish, George (Marg) Fricker of Mulgrave, sisters Elma (Jim) Strickland of Lower Sackville, Bess Cheshire of Halifax, thirteen grandchildren, and eleven great grandchildren. Theresa was predeceased by her first husband James S. Budge, and second husband Acil Brown, daughters Geraldine in infancy and Sharon Nelson, son James Budge Jr., sisters Alice Wilkie, Vera LeFriend and Mary Andrews and a granddaughter Peggy. A funeral service will be held 2 pm Tuesday August 24th, 2010 at Ettinger Funeral Home Shubenacadie, Rev. Canon David Fletcher officiating. There will be a reception following the service and committal at Brookside Cemetery. Family flowers only, donations may be made in Theresa’s memory by cheque at the funeral home to the V.O.N. or Colchester East Hants Palliative Care.
