

JODREY, Walter Dean -84, Gays River. Passed away on June 30, 2010, in the VG Site QEII, Halifax. Born in Lake Egmont, he was a son of the late William and Anna (Wren) Jodrey. Walter worked as both a heavy equipment operator and heavy duty mechanic all his life. Besides his family, Walter’s greatest passions were hunting, fishing and gardening. Walter is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Rae (McMichael); sons Michael, Antrim; Bill (Toby), Gays Rivers; daughters Anne (Claude), Falmouth; Patricia (Kevin), Halifax; twin brother Roy (Marge), Carrolls Corner; sisters-in-law Faye, Lake Egmont; Emily, Cooks Brook; and many grandchildren. He was predeceased by brothers Donald and his wife Ethel, Earle, Jack and sister, Marie Louise in infancy. Visitation will be 2-4 p.m. Sunday, July 4th in Ettinger Funeral Home, Shubenacadie. Funeral service 2 p.m. Monday, July 5th in Gays River United Church, Rev. Lori Crocker officiating. Reception to follow.
