William "Joe" Joseph Burton

BURTON, William Joseph “Joe” – 89, Latties Brook, passed away Thursday, October 14, 2010 in the Colchester Regional Hospital, Truro. Born in Latties Brook he was a son of the late William and Mary “Bertie” (Hingley) Burton. Joe was a life-long farmer, who took great pride in his work and looked forward to his weekly trips to the Cattle Auction. He had a fondness for all animals. He enjoyed his trips out West. He is survived by 14 nieces and nephews and their families. He was predeceased by his wife Frances (Ettinger); brothers Lloyd, and John, sisters Robina Lantz, Hazel Densmore and an infant sister Annie and niece Christine. Cremation has taken place under the care and direction of Ettinger Funeral Home, Shubenacadie. There will be no visitation by request. Funeral service 3 pm, Tuesday, October 19, 2010, in St. John The Baptist Anglican Church, Latties Brook, Rev. Beverly DeVouge officiating. Interment in the church cemetery.
